چکیده
This study investigated the effect crumb rubber recycled from wasted tires on properties of structural lightweight aggregate concrete (LWAC). Two types were tested: control LWAC and rubberized (RLWAC). The consisted cement, fine (river sand), coarse (porous aggregates). For RLWAC, was replaced by at rate 10, 20, 30, 40, 50% volume. water to cement ratio for both set 0.35. experiment series density (ASTM C567), compressive strength C39), flexural C78), thermal conductivity C518), sound absorption coefficient (ISO 10534-2). Results showed decrease in about 10%, 21.4%, 35.4% with increasing replacement up 50%. properties, content improved insulation concrete, as seen 14.6%. RLWAC also exhibited superior insulating higher over working frequency range. In order satisfy requirements ASTM C330 ACI 318, optimum recommended less than 10%.

Properties of Green Lightweight Aggregate Concrete
With increasing concern over the excessive exploitation of natural aggregates, synthetic lightweight aggregate produced from environmental waste is a viable new source of structural aggregate material. The uses of structural grade lightweight concrete reduce considerably the self-load of a structure and permit larger precast units to be handled. In this paper, the mechanical properties of a str...
متن کاملPrediction of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete Compressive Strength
Nowadays, the better performance of lightweight structures during earthquake has resulted in using lightweight concrete more than ever. However, determining the compressive strength of concrete used in these structures during their service through a none-destructive test is a popular and useful method. One of the main methods of non-destructive testing in the assessment of compressive strength...

This article is focused on lightweight aggregate-concrete modified by municipal sewage sludge and lightweight aggregate-concrete obtained from light aggregates. The article presents laboratory examinations of material physical parameters. Water absorptivity of the examined material was decreased by the admixture of water emulsion of reactive polysiloxanes. Water transport properties were determ...
متن کاملFlashag – New Lightweight Aggregate for High Strength and Durable Concrete
A new patented lightweight aggregates is tested. This type is given the name Flashag. The only solid raw material used to manufacture these aggregates is fly ash. The aggregates are sintered but not pelletized and the process is easy and inexpensive. This paper describes these patented aggregates and compares them with other lightweight and normal-weight aggregates that are used for concrete. T...
